Healthy Weight Loss Program


 
Losing weight can be an intimidating task and one needs to work really hard to lose even a couple of kilos. It has been rightly said by William Shakespeare that “Our bodies are our gardens – our wills are our gardeners”. And to be healthy one needs to be in harmony with the body, mind and spirit. It is always better to adopt natural means to lose weight rather than adopting fad diet plans. And for that, it is necessary to adopt a healthy lifestyle, which includes a healthy diet that suits our body and some exercise regularly.

One must not get demotivated with the problem of being overweight and try one’s best to be healthy and lose weight naturally. 1.      To eat healthy and nutritious food that provides all essential nutrients required for the body to become and remain healthy
2.      Avoid eating junk foods like pizza, burgers, cakes and fried items. These foods satisfy a person only for some time but are not healthy as they are high in trans-fat and sodium. Instead, one can include healthy weight loss diet in their meal by eating salads with the right kind of dressing. These provide adequate unsaturated fats and proteins to the body.
3.      To follow the healthy weight loss diet properly one should include adequate protein in one’s diet and avoid foods rich in simple carbohydrates (refined flours like maida and suji). Eating green vegetables like spinach, broccoli, cabbage and seasonal fruits is very good for the health.
4.      The best option to lose weight is to reduce the amount of intake of calories in the food which can be best done by portion control and increase the level of activity. Activities like running, swimming and cycling can be done to improve the fitness level and to have a healthy weight loss. Even Cardio weight lifting program can be done to lose weight and maintain it.
5.      One must also avoid fizzy drinks and opt for healthy fresh fruit juices. One should cut down on alcohol intake as it increases the weight of a person and is not healthy.
6.      One must make a note of one’s weight loss plan and supplement it by exercising regularly and avoiding unhealthy treats (cakes, chocolates, ice cream). It is always preferable to reduce the intake of sugar in tea and coffee too.
7.      One should follow a healthy balanced diet pattern which consists of fruits, nuts, vegetables, seafood and lean meat. The diet that would be able to fight heart disease is a diet that is low on sodium and is sugar free.
